I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area watching Turner Classic Movie Channel with my Mom. I constantly found myself oohing and aahing over the glamour girls of the 40s and 50s. My love of these old movies lead me to do musical theatre. And boy oh boy was I a “theatre kid!” Growing up I was constantly running between rehearsals, dance classes, and voice lessons. In 2014 I graduated from SJSU with my BA in musical theatre.
In 2017 I made the big move to New York City to pursue a career as a musical theatre actress. Since moving I’ve performed in several professional productions both in New York and regionally. In about 2018 I began to really discover blogging and influencing. I instantly found myself attracted to the independent and creative lifestyle I saw these women living.
In February of this year I launched my blog Thoroughly Modern Princess. It has been a wild ride, to say the least. I had no idea what things would look like just a few months later. But, as I am constantly saying, I am so thankful to be on this journey. I don’t think it could have happened any earlier. Being 27, having lived in NY for 3.5 years, and pursing the tough musical theatre actor life has brought me perspective and life skills that I don’t think I would have gained otherwise. All of which I feel are greatly shaping my blog and influence.
